Encounter

From the summer of 2007. This was one of the pictures I drew the first time I tried mushrooms. All the others eventually got colored but this one remained unfinished.

I recently posted the last drawing I did before psychedelics and thought I might finish this one too.

Going in, this was the kind of art I'd planned to learn to make when I tried mushrooms. Since then, I've rarely done this sort of work. I'm not so big on the suggestion of conflict. In my sketchbook, the crossbow was removed and a pointing finger was in its place. All in all I think I prefer that expression.
